The introduction in recent years of Blisks (Bladed Disks) and IBR's (Integral Bladed Rotors) into modern turbofan engine designs in the pursuit of weight and fuel savings, now presents new challenges as these critical parts enter service conditions in volume.

At TTL, we have been highly successful in utilising our proprietary software based Adaptive Machining methods to compensate for part-to-part variation in single-blade applications and have now extended this capability to viable automated workflows for multi-blade parts to the MRO sector, presented in this short video.
