Adaptive Machining

CNC and CAD/CAM applications have long been used in the mould and die industry, but are you utilising Adaptive 5 Axis Machining for larger, more expensive mould and press tools?

Adaptive Technology benefits parts that have become worn, or subject to design modification; providing precise cutting, full machine simulation abilities and exacting finishing abilities for complex parts.

By taking data directly from existing moulds and making sure new geometry is adapted to fit, the area to replaced or repaired can blend perfectly with surrounding material. Adaptive 5 Axis Machining even achieves a smooth, seamless blend when a localised electrode has sunk into a cavity, or a local region of a core has had to be welded and re-machined.

It can also be used to reverse engineer an existing die to make decisions about the amount of material that needs to be removed to clean up old surfaces.

Reduce cycle times in your industry and provide a higher level of machining efficiency with Adaptive Technology.
