Multiple nested parts

TTL & Starrag are pleased to offer our technology to showcase multiple nested parts machined on a Bumotec s191H!

Using Siemens NX CAM, TTL have created 5-axis toolpaths to efficiently machine two parts from a single billet for a shortened cycle time, optimising machine utilisation and reducing the raw material usage rate by 35%!

By creating a bespoke post-processor for the machine configuration and options, combined with a workflow that is easily adaptable for a range of part variants, programming times are reduced to minutes instead of hours.

The Bumotec s191H linear CNC turnmill centre is suitable for complete machining of very complex six sided parts. Machines from the s191H series are suitable for a large range of processes such as  turning, milling and grinding of parts from blanks or from bar in a single setting. With rapid linear drive motors and modular structure, multiple configurations are available, including a machining centre with seven axes and three spindles.
